Financial Reports

Overview

The Financial Reports section provides comprehensive tools to track, analyze, and manage the financial performance of your organization’s jobs and services. This module enables managers and finance teams to monitor revenue generation, job values, tax impacts, discounts, and scheduling details—all essential for accurate accounting, forecasting, and business planning.

Users can apply filters to focus on specific periods or job characteristics, review detailed tables of financial data, explore graphical revenue trends, and export customized reports for audits or executive review.

1. Financial Reports Dashboard

The dashboard consists of a Filter Bar, a Data View Table, KPI Summary Boxes, and a set of bar charts, all designed to give a clear and actionable picture of financial health related to your job management.

1.1 Filter Bar

Use the Filter Bar at the top of the dashboard to refine the financial data shown:

  • Search Bar: Quickly find jobs by name, client, or keywords.

  • Date Range: Select from preset options such as:

  • All Time

  • Today

  • Yesterday

  • Tomorrow

  • Last Week

  • Custom ranges

Applying date ranges lets you review financials over relevant business cycles or specific periods.

1.2 Data View Table

Once filters are applied, the Data View Table displays detailed financial records by job, including these columns:

  • Job Name: For example, “Extreme Clean Service”

  • Status: Job progress e.g., Completed, Draft, Started, etc.

  • Total Revenue: Total billed amount in USD (e.g., $54,312)

  • Subtotal: Amount before tax and discounts

  • Tax: Tax applied to the job

  • Discount: Any discounts applied

  • Estimated Hours: Projected hours for the job

  • Crew: Assigned crew or team handling the job

  • Client: Customer or company receiving the service

  • Scheduled Start: Planned start date/time of the job

This table enables detailed financial tracking per job and supports audit and billing reconciliation.

1.3 KPI Summary Boxes

To view key financial metrics, switch to the Visualization tab. At the top of the dashboard, essential KPIs are prominently displayed, offering a concise summary of business performance. These include revenue growth, profit margin, operating efficiency, and cash flow status—each providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.

At the top of the dashboard, key financial KPIs provide an at-a-glance summary:

  • Total Revenue: Aggregate revenue generated over the selected period (e.g., $543,120)

  • Total Jobs: Total number of jobs included in the report (e.g., 10)

  • Completed Jobs: Number of jobs marked as completed (e.g., 3)

  • Average Job Value: Mean revenue per job, calculated as total revenue divided by number of jobs (e.g., $54,312)

These figures offer a quick snapshot of financial throughput and job performance.

1.4 Visualizations

Several graphical charts supplement the KPI and table data to reveal trends and patterns:

  • Job Status Distribution: Pie chart illustrating the proportion of jobs by their status (e.g., Completed, Draft, In Progress)

  • Revenue By Month:  bar graph showing monthly revenue trends, highlighting seasonality or growth patterns

  • Revenue Breakdown: This chart presents a detailed view of revenue components, including taxable amounts, applied discounts, subtotals, and total revenue. It offers clarity on how each element contributes to the net financial outcome, enabling users to quickly assess the impact of taxes and discounts on overall income

  • Jobs Over Time: Timeline visualizing the volume of jobs scheduled or completed over selected periods

These visual tools help identify revenue drivers, bottlenecks, and forecast opportunities.
