Table of Contents
Overview
The Inbox section provides a centralized communication hub for service providers and clients. It facilitates conversations in various contexts, including general communication, estimate-related discussions, and invoice-specific interactions. The interface is designed to streamline communication processes, enhance user privacy, and provide easy access to relevant job information.
Inbox Dashboard
The Inbox Dashboard serves as the main interface for message management, offering key functionalities such as organized chat displays with the most recent conversations at the top, a search bar for quickly finding specific chats by client name or message content, and a "+" icon to initiate a new chat.
New Chat
To start a new chat, navigate to the Inbox section and click the "+" icon. A window will appear where you can select the client, type your message, and click "Send Message." Additionally, you can initiate chats directly from the Clients section by clicking the "Chat" button or send messages from the detailed interfaces of Invoices, Jobs, or Estimates.
Chat Details
Within a client's chat details interface, messages are strategically organized into two distinct categories: Team and Client.
2.1. Team Chat
The Team Chat section is hidden from the client and only visible to internal team members. This private space enables confidential discussions, sharing sensitive information, and collaboration without exposing internal matters to clients.
2.2. Client Chat
The Client Chat section contains messages visible to the client. This dedicated space ensures transparent and professional communication with clients, displaying only relevant messages and interactions.
Chat Filters
From the chat details view, you can use a dropdown menu to filter messages by category:
- Direct: displays all messages not tied to invoices, jobs, or estimates.
- Estimate: shows messages related to estimates.
- Invoice: shows messages related to invoices.
- Job: shows messages related to jobs.
- All Chats: consolidates all communication into one view.
This structured approach ensures that conversations remain organized and contextually relevant, enhancing both efficiency and clarity in communication.
